What to do now that we're stuck inside

With the limit to social interactions for the next 8 weeks (or more), the assumption might be that we can't share the Gospel, make disciples, or advance the kingdom.

Wrong.

Here are some simple practical things you can do right now, while you're stuck inside, to build the church.

  • Pray. Of course I would start with that. But how many of us are using a lighter schedule to spend more time in prayer? Or are we just cruising Facebook or Instagram more?
  • Reach out to your friends and family. People are in need of human interaction. Even if you can't meet in person, schedule a video call and interact. Find out how you can pray for them and pray right then on the phone.
  • Share the Gospel. You can, right now, start a Gospel conversation with the people in your own home. You can use your phone or computer to clearly share about Jesus to those in your life that need His hope the most.
  • Get training. If you don't know how to pray for the lost and share the Gospel, you can get training online. Even more than watching a video or listening to a podcast, we can meet online and actually train you in the skills you need. We can even practice simple disciple-making skills to make disciples now AND get us ready for the future when we can engage in person again.
So what are you waiting for?
